As a Senior Asset Engineer supporting our Gas Transmission Midstream (GTM) Operations – Offshore & Joint Ventures Region, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of offshore pipelines and facilities. This role exists to bridge field operations and capital projects—providing expert engineering judgment, leading complex maintenance and operational projects, and collaborating with joint venture partners and internal stakeholders to deliver solutions that protect people, assets, and performance across our Gas Transmission business.

What You Will Do:
Provide on-going technical support to Field Operations including analyzing a broad variety of technical issues, requiring the application of standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
Develop project scopes and estimates and manage maintenance capital and operational projects, including budget, schedule, and reporting oversight.
Coordinate all phases of project work such as development of project scope, cost estimate, design, ROW acquisition, contractor selection, procurement, inspection, construction, and commissioning activities.
Responding to operational emergency situations and offshore oil spill response (training will be provided).
Collaborate with field operations to review assets from engineering perspective to identify and develop capital and operating budgets to improve efficiencies and reduce costs.
Manage other projects as assigned. Project work will primarily involve offshore pipelines and facilities on platforms, with occasional onshore projects.
Who You Are:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably mechanical, civil, or electrical.
7+ years of combined engineering and project management experience related to the pipeline industry with 3+ years of related offshore pipeline facilities project management experience.
Knowledge of offshore gas pipeline and platform facilities operations.
Well-developed project management, problem solving, conflict resolution, interpersonal and organization skills. Works well in a collaborative, team, and service-oriented work style.
Committed to continuous technical learning and personal development.
Familiarity of governmental agencies regulations such as PHMSA (49CFR 192) and BSEE (30CFR 250) related to the pipeline industry is preferred.
Working Conditions:
Position is primarily office based, with up to 20% travel for projects and Operations field visits.
Must be able to travel by vehicle, airplane, helicopter, and occasional marine vessel.
A valid driver's license and maintenance of a responsible driving record is required.
Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:
Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
