Asset Controller
Location: The actual location of this job is in Pearland, TX.
The Asset Controller is a controlling expert who will provide financial and analytical support for the site. The role is responsible for regular analysis and functional support. The Asset Controller exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

What you will do:
- Support the Head of Finance in financial tasks (analysis and strategy)
- Take a leading role in local and regional Management Teams to set, implement and deliver on local business objectives
- Share local or regional responsibility for financial and management accounting in accordance with IFRS, the Lonza Finance Accounting Manual (FAM) and other required accounting principles
- Work with business teams to set and track relevant KPI's for cost controlling
- Oversee the month-end close and reporting processes
- Coordinate with Site/Business and service center teams to prepare site annual target/BSR, outlooks and forecasts, business modeling, monthly closing reporting, variance and analysis reporting, product costing, and contribution reporting based on business requirements
- Act as a local Business Partner - analysis and decision support in the area of pricing, financial analysis for contract negotiations, supply contracts, modelling, project evaluations, costing, performance measures, training, strategic planning, business goal development
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Finance or Accounting. Master’s degree preferred.
- Highly experienced in Accounting/Finance/Business Services experience partnering with senior leadership. Experienced in a global environment and related industry is strongly preferred.
- Highly analytical, financial business modeling, demonstrated experience in working with diverse teams spread across geographies
- Strong and concise written and oral communication; at ease with systems and ambiguity; cross-functional agility and a hands-on, can-do mindset for excellence.
- Ability to operate within a global integrated business system environment – ERP (SAP, BW, Hyperion) knowledge and MS Office required.
- Able to partner with colleagues in multiple time zones. The ability to work adjusted schedule and extra hours as business requires is important.
