Overview
The Services team is a key differentiator for Mastercard, providing the
cutting-edge services that help our customers grow. Centered on data-driven technologies and innovation, this team provides consulting, marketing, loyalty and analytics to financial institutions and merchants globally.
The Advisors Creative Desk (“ACD”) sits within Services organization and is responsible for ideating & creating engaging, forward-thinking and creative marketing solutions for Mastercard clients, delivering the complete suite of services a full-service agency can offer.
Role
The English-Speaking Senior Art Director will be part of the growing creative team based in Istanbul, working across the EEMEA region (Eastern Europe, Turkey, Middle East & Africa).
This role goes beyond execution. It requires a strong conceptual thinker who can transform strategic briefs into compelling creative territories and campaign platforms. The focus is on developing powerful ideas and bringing them to life through design, brand storytelling, and elevated visual craft.
This position collaborates closely with creative team members, copywriters, project managers, and Mastercard Services teams to deliver high-quality creative work that aligns with Mastercard’s global standards while resonating locally across diverse markets.
Key Responsibilities
-Understand creative briefs and strategic objectives, ensuring all outputs meet both visual and business goals.
-Lead and actively contribute to ideation and concept development sessions, generating innovative campaign territories and big ideas.
-Develop 360° campaign thinking across digital, social, experiential, and loyalty platforms.
-Design visually engaging campaign materials, social assets, and digital experiences for Mastercard and its partner brands.
-Ensure conceptual integrity from idea stage through final execution, maintaining high standards of craft and consistency.
-Collaborate with regional teams to localize and adapt global campaigns for different markets while preserving creative strength.
-Present creative work when required, clearly articulating the strategic rationale and design thinking behind proposed solutions.
-Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders across multiple hubs and time zones.
-Ensure consistency with Mastercard’s global brand guidelines while exploring innovative visual approaches.
-Contribute to raising overall creative quality within the team.
Qualifications and Experience
-Minimum 10 years of experience in the creative or advertising industry, preferably within a global/network agency or in-house creative environment.
-Strong portfolio demonstrating concept development and campaign-level thinking (not execution-only work).
-Advanced written and verbal English (additional languages are a plus).
-A strategic and creative mindset with a strong eye for design, layout, typography, and composition.
-Proficiency in the full Adobe Creative Suite — including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and After Effects (motion design experience is a plus). Proficiency in Figma is a plus.
-Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly explain and defend creative decisions.
-Collaborative, proactive, and adaptable, with the ability to work across cultures and markets.
-Ability to manage multiple projects within structured timelines in a fast-paced, multi-hub environment.
