The Field Application Specialist (Partner Customer Care) provides after-sales support to customers on Roche Diagnostics Product Portfolio. The application support provided on the phone, by email or during site visit and is in the form of troubleshooting assistance.
As a member of our Applications Specialist team, you will be primarily responsible for providing application support and expertise to existing and potential customers. You will install, train and provide troubleshooting assistance for Roche’s Core Lab instrumentation and reagent systems.
You will work in close collaboration with the sales team to assist in driving sales.
Responsibilities:
Application Support:
Provide support to customers when any application issues arise in a prompt and timely fashion, Perform or assist with software upgrades of customer instrument base.
Provide post-sales support to the customer to aid in establishing new parameters and answer technical inquiries.
Install & configure instruments and related reagents
Perform customer training
Maintain and develop customer facing documentation for support and training
Install applications on Roche platforms according to Roche guidelines / procedures;
Run correlation studies and validations in coordination with the customer if/as required;
Establish a plan to visit and/or communicate with each assigned customer on a cycle or frequency matching the customer’s needs and support requirements and Roche’s business priorities.
Sales Assist:
Pre-sales support in the form of customer tailored shows and/or demonstrating to customers
Present Roche technical and application solutions to customers during demos
Support sales through technical knowledge and with the RFPs' technical details as needed.
Who you are:
Bachelor's Degree in Science, Applied Science or similar.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience as Application Specialist in the Medical Device field, preferably in the Core lab domain
Thorough background in Biology /Chemistry
Ability to analyze and resolve situations while maintaining a high-level of customer service
Possess and apply excellent troubleshooting skills
Strong presentation and communication skills
Able to work with minimal supervision
May be required to be available for standby work (after hours) occasionally
