Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Application Engineer with a strong background in Thermo Fisher LC-MS/MS systems to lead and coordinate solution development projects across multiple application domains. The ideal candidate has deep hands-on experience with both high-resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS) and triple quadrupole MS, and a proven track record in developing analytical solutions for metabolomics, proteomics, biopharmaceuticals, food safety, and environmental testing.
This role requires not only technical excellence but also strategic thinking and cross-functional communication with R&D, marketing, and field application teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage cross-functional projects involving LSMS solution development and application deployment.
• Collaborate with internal teams (BU, R&D, Sales, and Technical Support) to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables aligned with business priorities.
• Develop and refine workflows and solutions based on Thermo Fisher LSMS product lines, including Orbitrap and TSQ series.
• Oversee data analysis and application validation in metabolomics, proteomics, biopharma, food, and environmental fields.
• Manage project timelines, risk assessment, and reporting to ensure on-time delivery and alignment with customer needs.
• Support customer evaluations, demonstrations, and feedback integration to drive product improvement.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Communicate effectively with global teams and provide technical insight into strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
• Ph.D. degree in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field; Master’s degree with extensive experience will also be considered.
• 10+ years of practical experience operating and developing methods with Thermo Fisher LC-MS systems — including high-resolution Orbitrap and triple quadrupole instruments.
• Proven experience in solution development and workflow integration for omics applications.
• Strong understanding of metabolomics, proteomics, biopharmaceutical analysis, and testing methods in food and environmental safety.
• Excellent project management skills — ability to plan, execute, and deliver complex projects across multiple teams.
• Strong English communication skills (both written and verbal); able to collaborate in an international environment.
• Hands-on experience with Thermo Fisher software platforms such as Xcalibur, TraceFinder, Compound Discoverer, and Skyline is a plus.
Preferred Attributes
• Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional collaboration and technical innovation.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to translate customer requirements into actionable technical solutions.
• Familiarity with global LSMS market trends and emerging omics technologies.
What We Offer
• Opportunity to work at the forefront of LC-MS innovation within a world-leading scientific organization.
• Collaborative environment connecting R&D, product management, and field teams globally.
• Competitive compensation and professional growth opportunities.
