Senior App Strategy & Innovation Manager

Samsung House 2000 Hillswood Drive, Chertsey, United Kingdom Full time

Position Summary

Role and Responsibilities

Your Key Responsibilities:

The Senior App Strategy & Innovation Manager plays a pivotal role in defining the strategic direction and positioning of the Samsung Shop App within our European D2C ecosystem.

This role is responsible for devising and developing the App channel strategy, ensuring the Shop App is correctly positioned to deliver long-term commercial return, customer value, and competitive differentiation for Samsung.

You will lead the development of the App’s strategic framework, guiding how it evolves as a key D2C channel — from its commercial role and customer proposition to innovation roadmap and integration across campaigns and consumer journeys.

Working at the intersection of business strategy, digital innovation, and customer experience, you will ensure the Shop App continues to strengthen Samsung’s direct relationship with consumers while supporting the company’s premiumisation and profitability objectives.

This role sits within the Channel Innovation & Strategy team, working closely with senior stakeholders across Category, Performance Marketing, CRM, Product, UX, Demand Generation and Suwon Office, as well as local subsidiaries, to drive alignment and ensure the App channel realises its full potential across Europe.

A breakdown of key responsibilities:

  • Define and lead the European Shop App channel strategy, ensuring it supports Samsung’s overarching D2C ambitions and commercial objectives.

  • Develop and continuously refine the strategic positioning of the Shop App — articulating its unique role, value proposition, and contribution to the customer journey.

  • Shape the App innovation roadmap, identifying and championing initiatives that enhance the customer experience, drive engagement, and support sustainable commercial return.

  • Partner with HQ, product, and UX teams to influence feature development and functionality priorities, ensuring regional business needs are represented and aligned with consumer insight.

  • Collaborate with category and campaign teams to ensure the Shop App is fully integrated into major launches, campaigns, and strategic propositions.

  • Work closely with CRM, Loyalty and Data teams to evolve personalisation, retention and lifecycle strategies that strengthen the App’s customer relationship role.

  • Lead the evaluation of new initiatives, establishing success metrics, pilot programs, and assessments to gauge impact and scalability.

  • Drive cross-market collaboration by sharing best practice, innovation pilots, and findings across European subsidiaries.

  • Partner with Analytics and Finance teams to assess the App’s contribution to D2C sales and profitability, finding opportunities for optimisation.

  • Act as the App ambassador within the D2C organisation — championing its role, securing senior buy-in, and ensuring strategic coherence across markets and functions.

  • Keep abreast of emerging industry trends, technologies, and competitor developments to inform forward-looking channel innovation.
