Water Quality (‘WQ”) Platform is part of the Environmental & Applied Solutions reporting segment and is a global leader in water quality analysis and treatment, providing instrumentation and disinfection systems to help analyze and manage the quality of ultra-pure water, portable water, wastewater, groundwater and ocean water in residential, commercial, industrial, and natural resource applications. Hach-TH Water Quality Platform, a part of the Hach Company, is a leader in manufacturing and distributing analytical instruments and reagents used to test water quality and other liquid solutions. In response to the rapidly expanding reagent in water test business in Thailand, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our Water Quality Thailand Group as Sr. AP Accountant.
Job Summary
The Senior Accounts Payable (Sr. AP) Accountant is responsible for overseeing and controlling end-to-end AP processes to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial transactions in accordance with company policies and GAAP. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors, supports audits, month-end closing, and continuously improves AP processes to strengthen financial controls and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble, verify, and process supplier invoices by matching PR, PO, delivery notes, and tax invoices (domestic, freight, and overseas).
Perform expense audits and process employee expenses in compliance with company policies.
Maintain overall control and accuracy of the Accounts Payable process, ensuring timely and correct postings.
Prepare and support balance sheet reconciliations for Accounts Payable, Goods in Transit (GIT), and prepaid expenses.
Prepare and reconcile VAT and Withholding Tax (WHT) accurately and on time.
Support month-end closing activities, including AP accruals and analysis of Profit & Loss (P&L) related to AP transactions.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and local tax regulations related to AP.
Support internal and external audits by preparing AP samples, reconciliations, and supporting accounting documentation.
Coordinate with auditors, finance teams, and relevant stakeholders to resolve audit queries.
Continuously identify opportunities to improve AP processes, controls, and efficiency.
Provide guidance and support to internal business partners regarding AP procedures and policies.
Communicate effectively with vendors, logistics providers, and internal teams to resolve invoice and payment issues.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
At least 5–8 years of experience in Accounts Payable or Accounting, preferably in a multinational or shared services environment.
Strong knowledge of AP processes, GAAP, VAT, and WHT.
Experience in balance sheet reconciliation, month-end closing and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
Good analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication skills in English (both verbal and written).
Be able to work in Amata City Rayong area.
