Boeing Defense Space & Security USAF E7A. This role is responsible for designing wire harnesses and integrating their design with multiple other teams.
Position Responsibilities:
Develops and maintains cable/wire harness detail and assembly designs.
Leads the team to analyze results and performs design reviews.
Provides engineering design disposition on discrepancies (e.g., rejection tags, production action requests, shop revision requests).
Documents processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities.
Develops complex statements of work, metrics, schedules and budgets.
Documents processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities.
Performs technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection.
Analyzes functional and physical input to ensure development of complete integrated design.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
9+ years of wire design experience
5+ years of experience on aerospace programs
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):
14 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
5+ years of experience with WIRS and CADDStation
7+ years of experience on Commercial Airplanes or Commercial Derivatives
Experience with Mentor Graphics Capital wire design tool
Typical Education & Experience:
Senior
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required accreditation standard.
Expert
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required accreditation standard.
