Role Overview:
This role plays a critical role in delivering high-quality compliance, reporting, and certification services across JLL's global sustainability services client portfolio, with a focus on the EMEA region. Operating within the Analytics Services Team and matrix reporting accountability to business partners, this position combines technical expertise in ESG frameworks and green building certifications with strong project management capabilities to support multiple client accounts simultaneously.
Compliance & Reporting Delivery:
- Manage end-to-end delivery of sustainability compliance and reporting projects for clients across multiple ESG frameworks including GRESB, CDP, TCFD, GRI, SASB, DJSI, and emerging regulatory requirements
- Coordinate data collection, validation, and submission processes to ensure accuracy and timely delivery of all reporting obligations
- Develop detailed understanding of client-specific reporting requirements and translate these into actionable data collection and analysis plans
- Prepare comprehensive compliance reports and documentation that meet both internal quality standards and external framework requirements
- Monitor evolving ESG disclosure regulations and proactively advise internal teams and clients on compliance implications
Certification Project Management:
- Manage end-to-end delivery of green building certification projects including BREEAM, LEED, WELL, NABERS, and other operational and design & construction rating systems
- Coordinate all certification activities from initial registration through documentation submission, review responses, and final award
- Develop detailed project plans with clear timelines, milestone tracking, and stakeholder accountability
- Oversee certification portal administration including uploading documentation, tracking progress, and communicating with rating system administrators
- Provide strategic recommendations on certification pathways that align with client sustainability goals and operational realities
Data Management & Quality Assurance:
- Oversee data governance activities to ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency of sustainability performance data across client portfolios
- Maintain and enhance data management protocols aligned with best practices and framework-specific requirements
- Develop and maintain robust validation processes to ensure reporting and certification integrity
- Support migration and integration of client data into sustainability reporting platforms
- Implement quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and completeness of all submissions
Stakeholder Management & Communication:
- Serve as primary point of contact for compliance, reporting, and certification matters with middle management stakeholders
- Facilitate effective communication between data providers, internal teams, building operators, designers, contractors, and external auditors or verifiers
- Conduct stakeholder workshops and meetings to explain requirements and align project teams
- Prepare clear, accessible presentations and reports that translate complex compliance and technical requirements for diverse audiences
- Build strong working relationships with client teams to ensure seamless project delivery and high satisfaction
- Coordinate with cross-functional JLL teams including Facility and Property Management, Technology, Operations, and Sustainability Consulting to align delivery activities
Technical Compliance & Documentation:
- Develop deep understanding of ESG reporting frameworks and certification system requirements, credit interpretations, and documentation standards
- Review building performance data, operational practices, and design documentation to assess compliance with certification criteria
- Prepare comprehensive documentation packages that demonstrate credit achievement and regulatory compliance with supporting evidence
- Respond to reviewer comments and queries, coordinating with stakeholders to provide clarifications and additional information
- Ensure all submissions meet quality standards and maximize outcomes within client budgets and timelines
Project Coordination & Process Management:
- Manage multiple concurrent reporting and certification projects with competing deadlines and interdependent deliverables
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and tracking systems to ensure milestone achievement
- Organize and lead stakeholder meetings to drive progress and resolve issues proactively
- Document standard operating procedures and best practices to enhance team efficiency and scalability
- Maintain detailed tracking systems for portfolios including status, deadlines, and risk factors
- Support onboarding of new clients and transition activities to ensure smooth integration into ongoing services
Team Collaboration & Development:
- Work collaboratively within the Analytics Services team and with global certification teams to share knowledge and optimize delivery across accounts
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members on technical compliance, reporting, and certification matters
- Contribute to training materials and knowledge management systems that enhance team capabilities
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and operational efficiency
- Support team resource planning and allocation to optimize delivery across accounts
Key Skills & Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in sustainability reporting, ESG compliance, building performance, project management, or related
- Familiar with key ESG reporting frameworks and legislation such as GRESB
- Knowledge of operational and/or design & construction certification schemes (BREEAM In-Use, LEED O+M, WELL, NABERS) and management systems
- Certification credentials (BREEAM Assessor, LEED AP, WELL AP) highly desirable
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Office suite, data management tools, and certification portal systems
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Strong organizational and time management capabilities with process-driven approach
- Experience with sustainability data platforms, environmental reporting software, building performance and operations preferred
- Understanding of GHG emissions accounting, building operations, sustainability performance metrics, and environmental management systems
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-cultural, global team environments
- Problem-solving mindset with proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
- Effective stakeholder engagement skills with ability to build productive relationships
