As a Senior Financial Analyst in the Technology Financial team, you are responsible for supporting specific leaders in the Technology organization as a trusted partner. Responsibilities include fully understanding the Technology Organization’s business strategy and alignment to budget, accounting, and charge-back functions for the area, understanding contractual commitments and identifying opportunities to optimize costs. The ability to handle multiple concurrent priorities providing accurate and timely results is key to success.
Role Summary
Trusted finance partner to Technology leaders.
Deep understanding of Tech strategy, budgets, forecasts, and cost drivers.
Manages multiple priorities with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and insight.
Key Responsibilities
Financial analysis & reporting
Accurately analyze and explain key cost drivers and monthly variances via a regular reporting process.
Provide actionable insights and recommendations to Tech leadership.
Budgeting & forecasting
Build initial budgets and maintain rolling forecasts for assigned Tech orgs.
Contract & spend management
Analyze contractual commitments, renewals, and potential new investments.
Identify cost optimization and value-improvement opportunities, with insightful recommendations that influence outcomes.
Close & communication
Support month-end close activities.
Present results clearly to leaders at multiple levels.
Projects
Lead or support ad‑hoc and ongoing initiatives as assigned.
Identify and recommend process improvements that benefit the Tech and Product Finance team and stakeholders in financial processes.
Basic Qualifications
4+ years of relevant finance/accounting experience, preferably IT-facing
Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills
Advanced Excel skills (ability to demonstrate in a pre-interview assessment)
Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI (or similar)
Effective communicator with a collaborative mindset
Independently complete assigned projects, while collaborating and engaging with the broader team
Must follow a hybrid work schedule, 2-3 days per week onsite in Bethesda, MD
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field or CPA preferred
Oracle EPM and Workday financial tools are helpful to the position

Annual Salary
$82,000.00 - $129,150.00The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
