Team and role Purpose:

The Systems Risk & Controls team is part of the Global Finance Technology, BI & Innovation Department working with the various Finance Technology teams, as well as the Internal Controls Assurance and Internal Controls Transformation teams to support adherence to the Flutter governance framework and SOX controls.  

Working as part of the Global Finance transformation programme, the team work across IT controls implementation, assurance, remediation and transformation. The Systems Risk & Control team’s overall role is to facilitate a strong controls environment across the Finance Technology tech stack.  This is achieved through four separate workstreams to ultimately facilitate ongoing controls adherence to SOX standards, along with other standards such as ISO27001. Namely:  supporting the Finance Tech teams through audit, enabling a controls assurance function for the teams, implementing governance standards and driving deficiency remediations, and leading IT controls transformation projects. 

In this role the successful candidate will work alongside the various Finance Technology teams to drive improvement of controls governance through IT controls uplift and larger controls transformation projects. This will include driving and leading identified remediation work and implementing controls for new systems as part of a major transformation program. The main aim objective is to ensure compliance of IT controls for both existing and new systems, and that controls are standardised and appropriate, whilst bringing efficiencies to the systems team where possible. 

What you’ll do

  • Lead and manage projects relating to Finance Technology Dept. controls governance. 

  • Support the System and Control Owners with generating and maintaining high standard quality controls documentation alongside other SR&C team members. 

  • For both newer systems and systems being implemented, work alongside Internal Controls Transformation team, the System Team and SR&C team members to facilitate the implementation of a controls framework. 

  • Collaborate with teams internally to drive and lead work on enhancing controls governance and adherence to global policies. 

  • Identify, where possible, efficiencies, streamlining, and standardisation with controls can be implemented. 

What you’ll need:

  • 2 years’ experience working in either GRC or in systems controls with Project management skill is a must.    

  • Understanding of IT General Controls (ITGCs) including proper design and implementation, monitoring, and reporting any assurance issues is a must. As such, Internal Controls or IT audit experience with knowledge of SOX controls is a nice to have. 

  • Project management experience in a controls or enterprise environments is a nice to have. 

  • Risk advisory experience, specifically in IT controls management is a nice to have.  

  • Organised and have the ability to prioritise is essential. There will be a lot of moving pieces of work due to the systems in scope. 

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint. 

  • Ability to build positive working relationships within the business. 

  • Critical thinker that can apply and implement existing GRC framework or use existing framework to propose design of controls. 

  • Understanding of IT Automated Controls (ITACs) is a nice to have. 

  • Knowledge of and experience in controls of Oracle products (Oracle EBS, EPM, ODI and Fusion) is a nice to have.
