Job Description
Position Overview:
The responsibilities of the Senior Analyst include issuing and evaluating bids; drafting, negotiating, and administering contracts; and managing relationships with key Category suppliers, contractors, manufacturers, and internal departments. The role will report to the Operations Procurement Manager. This position works from Invenergy's office in downtown Chicago.
Responsibilities:
·Support critical supplier relationship management, commercial negotiations, and department initiatives to execute strategy within areas of assigned responsibility ("Category")
Work with internal subject matter experts including Legal, Engineering, and Operations to implement and execute company strategy within assigned Categories
Conduct internal studies and spend analyses alongside pricing and overall market trends to assist in developing company strategy and direction for products or services
Evaluate vendors, products, and services against internal needs to identify and build new vendor partnerships within assigned Categories
Perform continuous contract management and enforcement, as well as negotiate and execute new contracts, within assigned Categories
Prepare, administer, and evaluate formal and informal bids and Request For Proposal packages
Develop understanding of solar, battery storage, and electrical balance-of-plant technologies
Engage in cross-department training as needed, to support implementation of procurement processes across the organization
Other duties or assignments, as needed
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business, Engineering or other related discipline
2+ years of professional experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain management, contracting, or other related field
Experience supporting commercial and/or contract negotiations
Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications
Proven influential verbal and written communication skills
Strong ability to analyze data and interpret statistics
Excellent organizational, administrative, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, including exceptional attention to detail
Experience in project management and strategic problem solving
Experience with, and technical understanding of, large-scale renewable energy projects
A desire to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
Demonstrated interest in renewable energy industry and/or procurement profession
Prior experience in category management
Base Pay
$82,000.00 - 98,000.00 USD Annual
Bonus: 15%
The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education and skills.
