Senior Analyst – RRG

Job Description: 

The Recordkeeper Relationship Group is responsible for facilitating the strategic and tactical relationship for our Corporate and Institutional clients’ Third-Party recordkeepers in order to support their Defined Contribution and Defined Benefit investment operations.  The Recordkeeper Relationship member serves as the primary contact for recordkeepers in overseeing daily participant investments and trading activity, which includes effectively communicating with recordkeepers, investment managers, clients and internal partner groups to ensure that service needs and expectations are being met.

Product knowledge:         

  • Good understanding of basic financial instruments like Fixed Income, Equities, Derivatives securities etc.
  • Trade Lifecycle
  • Specific knowledge of Fund of fund structure, Pension fund, Fund accounting, Transfer Agency, Trade life cycle, Custody, Middle office operations, Unitization, 401K retirement plan, Defined contribution and defined benefit plans

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage and strengthen daily recordkeeping relationships for assigned book of business.
  • Oversee the daily participant investment activity. Works closely with Institutional Fund Accounting and Daily Valuation operations teams to resolve any issues in a timely manner.
  • Reviews company stock liquidity trades for clients and acts as reviewer of liquidity calculations and transactions initiated by Recordkeeping Relationship Analysts.
  • Manages rebalancing process for client portfolios, including the calculation and initiation of Mutual Fund, Collective Fund trades as well as associated cash movements.
  • Receives inquiries from recordkeeper and partners, oversees transaction processing (including stock liquidity processing), handles inquiry resolution, obtains appropriate documentation and ensures accurate and timely follow-up with recordkeepers and partners.
  • Researches and resolves complex exceptions and coordinates corrective entries and preventative processes.
  • Communicates daily, or as needed, with recordkeeper and partner areas, especially client service teams regarding client account activity.
  • Works with recordkeeper and partner areas on client structural changes, including maintaining action plans related to client changes.
  • Calculate, review and initiate client activities related to cash flow and investment needs.
  • Coordinates process initiatives/communication with Client Servicing and Compliance.
  • To ensure process documentation are up to date and in line with the current process followed.
  • To identify opportunities for process optimization and drive continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing product offerings.
  • To ensure process controls and procedures are diligently followed at all times.
  • Any issues or potential issues must be promptly reported or escalated to line managers, following the escalation protocol.  Demonstrate abilities to be extremely flexible to the business needs and provide round the clock monitoring when required.
  • Should work closely with the management and keep them updated to raise any concerns/issues/escalations and manage the work without any delays

Eligibility for internal Partner

  • Should have completed 1 year as Analyst II
  • Lateral application - should have completed 1 year in the current role.
