Senior Analyst, Legal Compliance

As part of our MPMS APAC Compliance team, you’ll play a key role in ensuring regulatory excellence across our prepaid card programs in Australia and New Zealand.
About the Role
As a Senior Compliance Analyst, you’ll provide expert advice and operational support across a broad range of compliance activities. Your work will help safeguard Mastercard’s reputation and ensure we meet the highest standards in financial services and anti-money laundering regulations.
What you’ll do:
• Advise on regulatory obligations and market practices.
• Support new product initiatives and strategic projects.
• Assist with AML/CTF operational activities, including transaction monitoring and reporting.
• Conduct oversight and assurance of compliance functions.
• Review and approve product disclosure statements (PDS), financial services guides (FSG), and marketing materials.
• Manage responses to external dispute resolution bodies (AFCA, FSCL).
• Recommend and implement effective AML/CTF controls to mitigate risk.
• Escalate and document identified non-compliance issues.
About You
We’re looking for a compliance professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and brings a proactive, detail-oriented approach.
You’ll have:
• Strong knowledge of AML/CTF and AFSL regulatory frameworks.
• Experience in compliance within the cards or payments industry.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with exceptional organizational skills.
• Investigative mindset and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including influencing and negotiation capabilities.
• CAMS certification highly regarded.
