About the Position
The Multi-Asset Investment Liaison acts a key catalyst for growth and collaboration within Global Investment Operations. In this dynamic role, you will serve as the primary bridge between our multi-asset investment management and various operational teams, actively enhancing your subject matter expertise through on-the-job learning and mentorship. As a Sr. Multi-Asset Investment Liaison, you'll play a vital role in supporting portfolio management operations, representing our investment strategies to internal groups, and facilitating effective communication with the investment staff. You'll contribute to team building, knowledge sharing, and spearhead departmental initiatives such as new system development, testing, and working group support. The Investment Liaison organization emphasizes the opportunity to grow, innovate, and drive positive change in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
Role Summary
Supports investment teams throughout the entire client life cycle, managing pivotal investment-related and operational activities. Act as a vital link for investments, utilizing your foundational business and technical expertise to navigate complex operational challenges. Requires conceptual understanding of theories and practices in your discipline, working within established procedures to achieve goals and meet deadlines. Take ownership of your contributions, ensuring that your work consistently meets team objectives for quality and timeliness. While you'll operate within established guidelines for daily tasks, you'll also have the opportunity to receive guidance as you tackle new and exciting assignments.
Responsibilities
Uses discretion and broad expertise to support the ongoing operational activities associated with portfolio management of multiple or complex investment strategies. Example activities include: researching, analyzing, and interpreting investment and performance data; generating bespoke investment-, risk-, and performance-related reporting; managing model portfolios; ensuring coordination of responses on corporate action events; resolving pretrade compliance issues; maintaining strategy-level data, benchmarks, and performance composites; coordinating discretionary trade order processing; and supporting less experienced professionals resolve complex investment-related operational issues. Acts as initial point of contact for junior members on team when complexity is introduced to operational activities.
Uses autonomy in decision-making while ensuring operational readiness to support investment management activities for new and existing complex investment strategies, products, separate accounts, and investment types representing all levels of complexity. Example activities include: reviewing and finalizing prospectus language, recommending investment guidelines, instructing opening of foreign market trading accounts, establishing ad hoc instructions with internal and external parties, etc.
On behalf of the portfolio managers, independently develops responses to ad hoc and recurring qualitative and quantitative investment-related data inquiries posed by internal teams, clients, consultants, and prospects
Develops complex content and sources data for use in client meetings, marketing materials, client reporting, and internal investment committee meetings with minimal oversight. Responsible for review of final material before delivering to internal business units.
May represent department, leveraging broad knowledge and expertise on cross-functional/firmwide strategic initiatives and leads departmental initiatives to increase processing efficiency and scale, reduce risk, deliver new capabilities, and/or adhere to regulatory mandates.
Responsible for training new employees on policies and procedures, serves as point of issue escalation for less experienced employees, and implements cross-training routines to ensure continuity of coverage across a defined subset of investment strategies. Ensures accurate and complete procedural documentation.
Partners closely with Multi-Asset Portfolio Managers to understand evolving strategy needs and ensure operational support scales appropriately.
Represents the team by contributing to department wide and investment‑division initiatives, including platform implementations, data remediation efforts, attribution enhancements, and process transformation programs impacting Multi‑Asset strategies.
Identifies opportunities to streamline processes, reduce risk, and improve efficiency through automation, standardization, and improved data stewardship.
Provides high quality data for Multi‑Asset attribution, performance, and analytics support, ensuring outputs meet investment and client expectations.
Champions strong data management practices across benchmarks, reference data, and reporting inputs that underpin Multi‑Asset investment decisions.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND
5+ years of total relevant work experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex topics for diverse audiences
Preferred:
Relevant investment or operations experience, including exposure to Multi‑Asset strategies
4+ years of investment industry experience
Demonstrated ability to design and implement process improvements; advanced Excel skills; familiarity or interest in utilizing Python and SQL
Applies consultative approach when interacting with stakeholders and peers; position requires interaction with associates at all levels
Strong communication skills including technical writing to concisely summarize and communicate between investment personnel and operational teams
Intellectually curious and ability to apply critical thinking skills
Ability to think strategically and creatively
Ability to coach and influence peers without direct Supervisory oversight
Completion of or progress towards a CFA, MBA, or MSF
FINRA Requirements
FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.
Work Flexibility
This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to one day per week from home.
Base Salary Ranges

$87,000.00 - $148,000.00 for the location of: Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workersPlacement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
