Title: Senior Analyst I – Actuarial


The Opportunity: The purpose of this role is to perform analytical support for capital modelling and reporting, ensuring effective capital management across the company. The role also includes dealing with business users to improve awareness of ECM, model development, and applying the risk management framework.

  • Location: New York, New York
  • Work Arrangement: This role is hybrid, where you will be expected to be in the New York office 2 days a week.
  • Pay Range: $110,000 - $165,000

Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation of ECM objectives to ensure alignment with business targets and compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Perform appropriate checks within processes to minimise inaccuracies.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate understanding of business unit functions and the impact of ECM advice.
  • Assist in the calibration and validation of technical models.
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to team members and stakeholders.
  • Perform analysis on capital needs, support capital stress tests, and report on capital metrics.
  • Use models across the business, provide analytical advice, and support risk functions.
  • Assist in the overall development and execution of QBE Group strategy related to Capital Modelling control frameworks.

Work Experience:

Preferred Work Experience includes:

  • 1-3 years experience in an Actuarial or Analytics department
  • 2+ casualty actuarial exams

Qualifications:

Necessary Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
