Job Description
The Role
In this role, you will be the business owner for the GM Labor Information Database (GMLID) and a key partner to the Global Warranty Management team. You will design and execute test cases for warranty projects, support audit and compliance activities, and help reduce warranty costs worldwide. You will collaborate across multiple GM functions, maintain accurate warranty master data, and make it easier for dealers to submit and receive payment for claims. This is a globally focused role that blends data, process, and customer support to improve warranty performance and the dealer experience.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities):
Business owner of the Labor Information System (GMLID)
Develop and execute test cases for Global Warranty Management projects, and the avoidance of warranty costs.
Perform Audit functions dealing with Global Warranty Management/GM Labor Information Database for SOX/Access Control Lists
Work across a multitude of different GM departments, the way Global Warranty Management and GMLID work.
View and recommend changes for the future of Warranty Cost reduction and ease of claim payment for Dealers.
Ensure that Dealer Business Center (DBC) escalations are resolved timely
Maintain master warranties in SAP
Work with the Labor Time Activity Group to resolve labor time guide (LTG) issues
Communicate warranty changes to Finance including monthly/quarterly reporting
Global Focus
Performs other related duties and assignments as required
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience
3-5 years related job experience
Knowledge of Field Service Operations, Aftersales
Ability to manage unique, unusual and difficult problems and situations
Excellent Planning and Organizational Skills
Demonstrated commitment to customer focus
Strong analytical ability, communication and interpersonal skills required to build relationships with team members.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and difficult projects and assignments with high level of autonomy and accountability for results
Demonstrated initiative for reaching beyond work assigned to improve output and/or help others
Strong interpersonal skills involving ability to work effectively cross-functionally and cross-culturally
Strong computer skills
Ability to work off hours to support Global Business Partners as required
What Can Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Automotive Systems
Experience working with Global Warranty Management
Experience working with GMLID
