The Team:  Join a S&P global Accounts Receivable Department responsible for AR accounting, cash application, and AR adjustments across the Order‑to‑Cash lifecycle. The team partners closely with Credit, Collections, Accounting, Treasury, and global finance stakeholders to ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence.

The Impact:  

This role directly influences the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of Accounts Receivable financial reporting across the Order‑to‑Cash process. The Senior Analyst owns AR adjustments, AR accounting, and cash application activities, ensuring clean sub‑ledger balances, accurate reconciliations, and a timely month‑end close.

The role requires strong working knowledge of ERP systems and reporting tools including Oracle R12, SAP, SmartView, Tableau, PIMS, Salesforce, Ariba, ARCS, and GL modules, enabling effective analysis, issue resolution, and data integrity across platforms. By adhering to established accounting policies, audit requirements, system controls, and SOX compliance, this position helps ensure reliable financial statements and minimizes financial and operational risk.

Through proactive variance analysis, cross‑functional collaboration, and continuous process improvement, the Senior Analyst strengthens AR controls, supports leadership decision‑making, and drives overall OTC performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate strong expertise in accounting principles and revenue recognition, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal controls.
  • Lead the analysis and preparation of monthly AR metrics, including DSO, delinquent AR, and cash collections, and present finalized results and insights to Senior Management.
  • Possess in‑depth knowledge of end‑to‑end Accounts Receivable operations, encompassing cash application, AR management, reconciliations, and AR accounting.
  • Provide functional leadership and guidance to Cash Application and AR teams by identifying process gaps, resolving operational issues, and driving continuous improvement.
  • Apply advanced accounting knowledge related to bad debt provisioning, write‑offs, and reserve accounting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Own and manage AR and OTC KPIs, delivering monthly and ad‑hoc reporting to Senior Management, including detailed variance analysis and key drivers versus historical trends.
  • Partner with Finance and Collections teams to consolidate, analyze, and report revenue and AR‑related data accurately and efficiently.
  • Drive adoption and learning of analytical and automation tools (e.g., Alteryx, Blue Prism, Tableau) to enhance operational reporting, analytics, and reconciliations.
  • Support special projects, process enhancements, audits, and ad‑hoc reporting initiatives as required.
  • Act as a key liaison and collaborator across global OTC teams, third‑party service providers, Treasury, Intercompany, AP, Accounting, Controllers, and Global Divisional Finance to ensure smooth AR operations.
  • Exhibit a strong ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex AR issues proactively, ensuring timely resolution and transparent reporting.
  • Provide cross‑functional and cross‑departmental support, including backfilling and mentoring accountants across multiple finance functions when needed.
  • Leverage strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with internal stakeholders, senior leaders, and external customers or partners at all levels.
  • Operate effectively in a global, diverse environment, supporting both internal and external customers to resolve issues and drive outcomes.
  • Work independently with a high degree of ownership and accountability, exercising sound judgment on when to escalate risks or issues to management.
  • Demonstrate the ability to multitask and lead multiple priorities while collaborating with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Maintain a results‑driven mindset, taking ownership of initiatives and serving as a lead for key projects and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Exhibit strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly advanced Excel and Access, to support analysis, reporting, and automation.

Qualifications:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification preferred, with 2–6 years of experience in accounting, audit, or related finance functions.
  • Hands‑on experience with ERP and financial systems such as Oracle R12, PIMS, SAP, and Salesforce CPQ/Tasks is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to rapidly learn new and legacy systems in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external customers across global regions and management levels.
  • Experience working with offshore teams and external partners, with strong cross‑cultural communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage high‑volume workloads while understanding the broader end‑to‑end finance and AR processes and their impact on the organization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Access, Outlook, and Word.
  • Assertive and proactive in issue follow‑up and resolution, with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast‑paced, evolving business environment.
  • Ability to work independently with strong ownership and accountability, including sound judgment on when to escalate issues to management.
  • Flexibility to work shifted schedules aligned to US business hours, including overtime during critical business periods.
  • Willingness to work from the India office during US working hours.
