Senior Analyst Gate Retail

Position Summary:  Senior Analyst, gateretail

Position is responsible for developing and delivery of documentation and analysis relating to in-flight product sales and inventory management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•    Performs analyses for item optimization, shelf space optimization/utilization, in-flight merchandising, pricing, provisioning, forecasting, etc.
•    Drives data integrity through auditing and cleansing exercises
•    Manages database maintenance and SOP development; automating processes as applicable
•    Communicates analyses to peer group and managers before recommendations are made
•    Manages Product & Ops customer requirements, vetting needs vs. wants to determine go-forward work plans
•    Conducts and support ad-hoc analyses
•    Develops relationships with customer counterparts
•    Conducts weekly onsite audits in cold assembly area of kitchen

Education:
•    Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting or equivalent experience
•    Master's degree in related field a plus

Work Experience:
•    3 – 5 years experience in analytics/business analysis
•    Airline catering operations, kitchen operations, SACS, AirServ, in-flight catering data flows and related IT a plus

Job Skills:
•    Able to work in fast paced, constantly changing environment
•    Mastery of MS Access and MS Excel or equivalent database management & reporting tools, including VBA, macros, scripting
•    Demonstrated skill in guiding others through analyses through effective communication & presentation
•    Knowledge of market research & statistical analysis
•    Technical understanding of in-flight IT systems and Retail on Board data management a plus

Communication Skills:
•    Excellent verbal and written skills
•    Ability to present concepts
•    Ability to interpret business requirements into IT functional specs

•    None

Travel:
•    Some domestic travel may be required for example from Toronto to Calgary

Environmental Requirements:
•    Normal office environment
•    One day per week working in the in-flight kitchen
