Reporting to the SVP, Finance Cannabis, the Senior Financial Analyst will provide financial support for both Cannabis segments (Retail and Operations), delivering actionable insights to drive performance and strategic decision-making. This role involves preparing and analyzing financial results, developing forecasts, and creating presentations for senior leadership. The analyst will also handle ad hoc analysis to support business initiatives.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results for Cannabis segments.
· Develop forecasts and assist with annual budgeting processes.
· Prepare executive-level presentations summarizing performance and outlook.
· Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve profitability.
· Partner with segment leaders to provide financial insights and recommendations.
· Perform ad hoc analysis to support strategic projects and operational decisions.
· Contribute to the team’s strong collaborative culture by developing strong cross-functional partnerships and relationships to support initiatives and by fostering a workplace of inclusiveness and belonging.
Qualifications:
· 5-8 years experience in a Financial Planning and Analysis role
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA/MBA preferred
· Strong analytical and modeling skills; proficiency in Excel and financial systems
· Excellent communication and presentation skills
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
· Strong ERP base concepts (D365/Business Central, SAP, JDE etc.)
· Power BI reporting experience an asset
· High degree of accuracy with strong attention to detail
· Demonstrated capability as a team player with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
· A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements
· Criminal record check required
