The U.S. Customer Planning function serves as the finance business partner to the customer account management teams and is part of the broader Americas Regional Finance team.
The Senior Analyst position is responsible for management reporting encompassing budgeting and forecasting, strategic and customer planning.
About Business Finance Center (BFC) BFC provides Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Finance Business Partnering expertise to the organization by compiling and analyzing metrics, identifying trends and problems, communicating information to relevant groups and recommending actions to improve financial performance. It works with the business to directly drive planning efforts, identify business drivers, and develop the bottom-up budget and forecast. It also helps the business in standard, ad hoc reporting, and key performance indicators (KPIs) each period provides decision support to business teams as needed. We are a strong 100+ member team (finance professionals) in multiple markets.
Role
• Manage the financial close process through the analysis of customer-level variances against budget, forecasts, prior year actuals, encompassing volume, revenue, customer and Rebates & Incentives.
• Review and provide thoughtful business-driven commentary to Customer Planning Finance management team.
• Develop the customer-level annual plan / budget and monthly forecast / O&Rs.
• Create and maintain standardized, as well as customized, financial reporting packages that will help drive and support the business, inclusive of customer metrics / KPIs and revenue generation initiatives. Identify and communicate revenue risks and opportunities and review and respond promptly to ad-hoc requests for information and analysis.
• Drive Mastercard strategic plans by providing relevant customer-level financial analytics and business insights to key stakeholders, while developing robust tracking mechanisms.
• Develop periodic and ad-hoc financial insights for U.S. customer account teams.
• Execute on financial process improvements by building and maintaining financial tools to perform analysis and modeling.
• Leverage automation and AI to create more efficient methods of delivering insights to business stakeholders.
All About You
• Educational qualification - Post graduate finance degree, CPA or MBA Finance.
• Experience in financial roles with advanced knowledge and experience with all phases of financial planning and management.
• Strong knowledge of Business Intelligence tools and experience with financial systems / applications (e.g., Hyperion and Oracle).
• Solid understanding of reporting, budgeting and forecasting techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated with a proven track record of delivering success while operating in a team environment.
• Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple activities of different nature in a condensed timeframe.
