Financial Services partner with all areas of CommBank to specialist advice, support and services in finance, audit, treasury, property, procurement, climate strategy and investor relations.

Commercial Banking Finance is responsible for the provision of key financial information and monthly performance reporting to the Commercial Banking distribution segment.

We’re looking for a commercially minded Senior Analyst Finance Business Partner to join our Segment Distribution Finance team, supporting Business Banking. This is a high-impact role where you’ll combine financial analysis, reporting, and stakeholder engagement to help drive business performance and inform strategic decisions.

You’ll work closely with senior leaders, providing insights that shape outcomes, improve efficiency, and support sustainable growth.


Your day to day could look like but not limited to:

  • Management of month end reporting cycle, half and full year end reporting
  • Delivery of weekly sales and service reporting for the Business Bank
  • Delivery of forecasting and budgeting analysis and reports
  • Analysis of business drivers including revenue, costs, FTE’s, asset and liability growth, ROTE and PACC
  • Liaising directly with senior stakeholders and business bankers and presenting analytical performance to stakeholders
  • Approaching requests with a business problem solving approach and delivering large scale projects
  • Financial controls - financial and non-financial risk control oversight
  • Engagement with Segment Finance to ensure a proactive and transparent approach to risk
  • Ensure integrity, timeliness of financial data and reconciliation to supporting systems
  • Compliance with group wide policies and delivery protocols
  • Focus on process excellence and continuous improvement through collaboration across business banking
  • Assess business opportunities and providing commercial advice and input
  • Supporting the business with ad-hoc financial analysis and decision support
  • Facilitate process improvement initiatives to the reporting, planning and analysis
  • Using and building reporting using BI tools, SQL, Alteryx and Tableau

We’re interested in hearing from people with the following skills:

  • Background in finance business partnering, FP&A, or performance reporting
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders and influencing outcomes
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into clear insights
  • Experience with SQL and BI/visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau)
  • Exposure to tools like Alteryx (desirable)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Commercial mindset with a focus on driving business outcomes
  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work both independently and collaboratively
  • CPA or CA qualification (or working towards) preferred
