What You Will Do:

  • Perform day-to-day duties, such as providing environmental technical support to Operations Personnel that aligns with Enbridge’s vision and the direction of Safety & Reliability.

  • Review and develop procedures, guidance documents, and training programs for internal stakeholders to maintain compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. 

  • Ability to communicate with cross functional groups, field personnel, waste vendors, and environmental team members pertaining to waste requirements.

  • Manage and administer the Emergency Response Program in coordination with US colleagues.

  • Plan and manage consultants to implement the Canada wide Stormwater and Potable Water Programs.

  • Responsible for EPEA approval requirements as pertaining to the South Edmonton Terminal Natural Gas Power Plant.

  • Participate in data gathering for annual compliance and sustainability reporting as required.

  • Support regional environment advisors with workload and vacation coverage.

  • General understanding of laboratory reports and analytical data to determine compliance with applicable criteria.

Who You Are:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geology, environmental sciences, or related fields.

  • 2-4 years of directly related experience with knowledge and practical experience in the energy industry.

  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills with effective interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledge of provincial and federal environmental regulations.

  • Knowledge of SharePoint and records management.

Preferred:

  • Demonstrate proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office products, primarily involving word processing, environmental database applications, presentation, and spreadsheet software.   Encompass experience is an asset.

  • Demonstrated capability in ensuring strong linkages both inside and outside of the organization with collaborators.

  • Ability to apply strategic solutions to issues.

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment.

  • Less than 10% of travel is required for conferences and team events. Valid passport is required to travel between US and Canada.
