The Engineering Support Services team within Mission Systems Services has an opening for an Engineering Engagement Specialist within the Operational Support Team. This position will report directly to the Operational Support Team leader.

As an Engineering Engagement Specialist, you will be responsible for leading change management activities by leveraging a change management methodology, process, and tools to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes required by an engineering tools project or initiative. You will support communications through the design, development, delivery, and management of key communications. You will also facilitate training efforts by providing input, documenting requirements, supporting the design and delivery of training programs, and influencing superusers and trainers.

What YOU Will Do:

  • Develop change management plans, including completing change management assessments, identifying stakeholders, training, coaching, and communications needs 
  • Identify, analyze and prepare risk mitigation tactics 
  • Identify and manage anticipated and persistent resistance 
  • Consult and coach project teams 
  • Create actionable deliverables for the core change management plans: sponsor plan, communications plan, coaching plan, training plan and resistance management plan 
  • Write, edit, and prepare internal materials, including organization publications, group emails, intranet pages, training materials, playbooks, and other organizational communications, for dissemination through organizational communication channels 
  • Creates and disseminates information to drive employee engagement 
  • Support and engage senior leaders 
  • Coach people managers and supervisors 
  • Manage stakeholders 
  • Ensure tool updates are communicated to superusers and training leads, as well as flowed out to general users 
  • Assess current training needs and documentation that drives consistency 
  • Lead training efforts for engineering tools and process 
  • Assist with the creation of training materials, including training guides, training courses, and videos 
  • Track and report issues 
  • Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress 

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
  • A solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change process 

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience with and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools 
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal 
  • Excellent active listening skills 
  • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences 
  • Experience with SharePoint design and development required 
  • Experience with Atlassian Confluence wiki development
  • Experience writing executive communications, slide design, and documentation ​
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships 
  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal 
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations 
  • Problem solving and root-cause identification skills 
  • Able to work effectively at all levels of an organization 
  • Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others 
  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle 
  • Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts 
  • Change management certification or designation desired

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
