This is where global trade expertise meets real impact.

At Baxter, our mission is simple but powerful: Save and Sustain Lives.
Behind every product delivered safely and compliantly, there are experts ensuring our global trade operations run smoothly, ethically, and efficiently.

We are currently looking for a Senior Analyst, EMEA Global Trade & Customs to join our EMEA team based in Lessines, supporting Baxter sites across the region. This is a high‑impact role at the heart of our international operations, offering exposure, autonomy, and the opportunity to shape how trade compliance is done across EMEA.

Your role

Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Global Trade & Customs Strategy and Solutions, you will provide advanced support to International Trade and Customs operations across EMEA, operating with a high level of independence and expertise.

You will proactively coordinate and monitor import/export compliance with international trade, customs, and other government agency regulations, ensuring full compliance while minimizing risks related to penalties or fines for all Baxter entities.

Beyond daily operations, you will act as a trusted internal advisor, driving continuous improvement, standardisation, and strategic initiatives across the region.

What you’ll be responsible for

In addition to higher‑level support of Global Trade Compliance Analyst activities, you will:

  • Provide expert support to the wider Global Trade Compliance team for day‑to‑day import/export operations across the EMEA region
  • Assist in identifying, qualifying, implementing and operating strategic cost‑saving initiatives (e.g. Foreign Trade Zones, duty drawback, Free Trade Agreements, duty suspension regimes, etc.)
  • Conduct comprehensive audits of import and export transactions, implement corrective actions, and regularly review outcomes with senior leadership
  • Coordinate and support customs and trade authorisations (AEO, IPR, REX, and similar programmes) across sites
  • Lead and coordinate EMEA‑wide activities related to customs valuation, tariff classification and origin determination
  • Review, update and standardise internal procedures, and contribute to the development of training materials and compliance modules
  • Manage and coordinate responses to official government and regulatory requests
  • Act as a key interface with external service providers, customs authorities, regulators and internal stakeholders to facilitate import clearance and export filings
  • Support the Global Trade Compliance team on high‑visibility, cross‑regional projects
  • Drive process standardisation and internal control improvements across EMEA import/export activities

What you bring

  • Solid experience in international trade, customs and import/export compliance, ideally in a complex, international environment
  • Strong working knowledge of EMEA customs regulations, procedures and trade compliance frameworks
  • Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively across regions and functions
  • A structured, analytical mindset with a continuous improvement approach
  • Confidence interacting with regulators, service providers and senior internal stakeholders
  • Fluency in English (additional European languages are a plus)

What we offer

  • A strategic role with regional visibility and real influence on how trade compliance is managed across EMEA
  • A hybrid working model: up to 2 days of remote work per week
  • A collaborative, supportive environment where expertise is recognised and valued
  • The opportunity to grow your career within a global organisation driven by purpose and impact

Ready to make your expertise count?

If you’re looking for more than just a compliance role — if you want to shape processes, influence strategy, and make a tangible impact in healthcare — this is where it starts.
