Title: Associate Manager: Senior Analyst, Customer Success Content Configuration Engineer

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

The content configuration engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and validating content solutions for Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance core systems. This role translates industry rules and standards into configuration specifications and ensures that system functionality aligns with customer and business requirements. Operating within an Agile framework, the Senior Analyst performs analysis, configuration, testing, and debugging of solutions of low to medium complexity. The role contributes to the overall effectiveness of Duck Creek’s content configuration practice through adherence to standards, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.

Job Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Configure and deliver content solutions for user stories of low to medium complexity within Agile project teams.
  • Interpret and translate rules and requirements from standards organizations (ISO, NCCI, AAIS) into system configuration specifications.
  • Debug and resolve configuration issues, identifying root causes and ensuring fixes are implemented without collateral impacts.
  • Develop automated unit and integration tests to validate configuration changes and ensure quality outcomes.
  • Participate in peer code reviews, demonstrating compliance with configuration standards and best practices.
  • Perform source code management activities, including check-in, branching, and merging, as directed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align configuration with overall solution design and customer requirements.
  • Apply root cause analysis to defects and issues discovered during development or testing.
  • Support estimation activities for configuration work, contributing to project planning and resource management.
  • Document requirements, solutions, and testing outcomes to maintain traceability and knowledge transfer.
  • Adhere to and promote Duck Creek’s content development standards and methodologies.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Content Configuration practice.
  • Undertake other related duties and activities as required.

WHAT YOU’VE DONE:

  • Bachelor of Science degree; preferred in Mathematics, Computer Information Sciences or Business; related work experience can be substituted for educational requirement.
  • Minimum 3 years related industry experience

PREFERRED:

  • Prior experience with Duck Creek products (EXAMPLE Express®, EXAMPLE Server®, EXAMPLE Author®, EXAMPLE TransACT®, EXAMPLE Forms™, EXAMPLE UserAdmin™, EXAMPLE Testing Tools).
  • Background in P&C insurance, with knowledge of Commercial Auto, General Liability, and other major lines of business.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Behaviors:

  • Proficiency in XML/XSLT document design and XPath querying.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex requirements.
  • Experience with source code management tools and practices.
  • Familiarity with relational database design and querying.
  • Understanding of Agile development methodologies and practices.
  • Ability to configure high-performance, scalable content solutions.
  • Strong debugging and root cause analysis skills.
  • Knowledge of P&C insurance products, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to estimate implementation efforts with accuracy.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in team environments and across functions.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and adapting to new tools and technologies.
