Job Description:

The Advice BI & Strategy team within the Wealth Strategy Team provides business and financial insights, strategic planning, and business management coordination across the Financial Planning (FP), Private Wealth Management (PWM) businesses and Wealth National Office (WNO). The team plays a key role in strategy development and implementing business initiatives through data insights and executive reporting.
 

Job Description

The Senior Analyst of Advice BI team plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing strategic initiatives for the Wealth Advice line of business. This position leverages deep market insight and competitive intelligence to inform strategic planning and guide business decisions.

This role provides an opportunity for the successful candidate to deepen their understanding of the wealth management industry, as well as TD Wealth's strategic direction and performance.

The selected applicant will be responsible for providing support in the following areas:

  • Business Planning: Support the annual planning cycle and lead the creation of monthly and quarterly performance insights to ensure alignment with strategic priorities.

  • Project Leadership: Lead end-to-end delivery of analytical and strategic initiatives, including scoping, stakeholder engagement, project management, and timely execution.

  • Competitive Intelligence: Conduct in-depth market, competitor, and business environment analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Provide actionable recommendations to inform business direction.

  • Insight Generation: Deliver forward-looking, evidence-based insights to proactively address market disruptions and evolving client needs.

  • Make recommendations for new business or operational strategies based on analysis and insights

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across Financial Planning (FP) and Private Wealth Management (PWM), balancing organizational priorities and sensitivities.

  • Team Representation: Act as an ambassador for the Wealth Strategy team within and outside the department, ensuring alignment and visibility across initiatives.


Job Requirements

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Strong executive presence and ability to influence across senior leadership

  • Strategic and conceptual thinker, comfortable working with ambiguity

  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple high-impact priorities simultaneously

  • Practical and solutions-oriented mindset; project management experience is an asset


Job Experience

  • 5–7 years of experience in financial services, ideally with exposure to corporate strategy, consulting, or business development

  • Strong understanding of the wealth management landscape, particularly within the Mass Affluent (FP) and High Net Worth (PWM) segments, is valuable

  • Advanced degree or professional designation (MBA, CPA, CFA) preferred

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, MS Excel, Alteryx, Tableau, Power Apps, Power BI, SQL, Python, Azure Cloud
