 Business Bank (BB) secures and enhances the financial wellbeing of people, businesses and communities, particularly CBA’s small and medium sized enterprise clients, including those in rural and regional areas, as well as the needs of CBA’s online trading, broking customers.

BB Domain Analytics sits within the wider Advanced Analytics & Data (AAD) team, part of Customer, Channels and Data (CCD) in Business Banking.

As a Senior Analyst, you will be responsible for building out data driven projects, providing deep analytical insights and guiding strategic decision-making processes. Your primary focus will be to partner with Product, Technology and BB Chief Controls Office to ensure the accuracy, integrity and compliance of the BB data and processes.  

Harnessing your passion for innovation and continuous improvement, you will be part of a team of talented analysts working to enhance our analytical capabilities and control frameworks, ultimately transforming the way the Business Bank optimises the customer experience through proactive risk management.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply Advanced Analytics Techniques: Lead the discovery of customer breakpoints through advanced analytics techniques such as machine learning algorithms, LLM’s, clustering, and other advanced analytics techniques. Ensure the robustness, accuracy, and relevance of analytical solutions.
• Collaborate with Senior Management and Stakeholders: Work closely with senior management and other stakeholders to identify and prioritize breakpoints. Communicate complex analytical concepts in a clear and actionable manner.
• Maintain Data Governance: Uphold data governance standards and practices. Ensure the integrity, quality, and security of data used in analysis.
• Drive Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Stay current with the latest trends and technologies in data analytics and machine learning. Drive continuous improvement and innovation in analytical methodologies and tools.

Tech skills

We use a board range of analytical tools; we don’t expect you to know them all but having significant experience and exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team.

• Advanced Analytics: Proven experience in developing models, machine learning algorithms, and other advanced analytics techniques.
• Advanced Analytics Tools: Significant experience with analytical software such as Python, R, SQL, and data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
• Data Governance: Knowledge of data governance standards and practices, ensuring the integrity, quality, and security of data used in analysis.
• Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS)
