But the real magic? It happens in the algorithm.
Our devices stream real-time data from living things in unpredictable environments. Your job is to turn those noisy time series into reliable, human-readable insights, so users can trust their plant is healthy, even when they’re not sure.
You won’t just design models. You’ll design how reality gets translated into confidence.
What you’ll actually do
- Invent and implement algorithms that infer state from raw sensor data
- Build logic that works not just in theory, but on millions of devices, in messy homes
- Handle missing data, drift, resets, and surprises with elegance and rigor
- Simulate edge cases, validate relentlessly, and protect against regressions
- Translate your outputs into clean, interpretable product signals
- Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and product to bring it all together
Who you are
- An experienced algorithm engineer (7+ years) with a proven track record of shipping real-world systems
- Deep in time-series, signal processing, sensor data, and applied ML, statistically sharp and product-aware
- A Python expert who builds robust, testable, scalable pipelines and services
- Strong technical foundation (BSc/MSc/PhD in CS/EE/Math/Physics, or equivalent hands-on experience)
- Obsessed with quality, stability, and clarity, not just cleverness
- Bonus: experience with computer vision (classical or ML-based) and multi-modal sensing
- Energized by hard problems, high standards, and products people love
