What You’ll Do:

Technical Leadership & Project Delivery

  • Lead the planning, design, and delivery of airport civil infrastructure projects, including runways, taxiways, aprons, grading, drainage, utilities, and associated landside works.

  • Prepare and oversee detailed engineering designs, specifications, and construction documentation.

  • Ensure compliance with Transport Canada standards, ICAO guidelines, airport authority criteria, and applicable municipal/provincial regulations.

  • Provide technical oversight, mentor intermediate and junior engineers, and conduct quality reviews to ensure design excellence.

Client Engagement & Business Development

  • Act as a client-facing representative of TYLin, building and maintaining strong relationships with airport authorities, consultants, and stakeholders.

  • Support business development initiatives, including proposal preparation, technical write-ups, fee estimates, and participation in client presentations.

  • Contribute to strategic growth initiatives within the Aviation sector in the Greater Toronto Area and across Canada.

Project Management & Collaboration

  • Support or lead project management tasks including scope development, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.

  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (structural, electrical, mechanical, planning, environmental) to deliver integrated solutions.

  • Provide construction-phase support, including responses to RFIs, site reviews, and design clarifications.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.

  • Approximately 10+ years of progressive civil engineering experience, with demonstrated involvement in airport or aviation infrastructure projects.

  • Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and related design tools.

  • Strong understanding of airside geometry, grading, drainage design, pavement design principles, and utility coordination.

  • Proven ability to manage or contribute to complex, multi-stakeholder infrastructure projects.

  • Experience supporting or leading proposal efforts and business development initiatives.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in client-facing environments.
