About the role:

As a Senior AI Engineer (.NET / Agentic Systems) you will design and build production-grade AI agent systems on Azure, alongside our existing REST microservices platform. You will be at the forefront of our agentic AI initiative — designing, implementing and deploying autonomous agents that integrate with real business systems across TD SYNNEX EMEA.

What you'll do:

• Design and build AI agents using Microsoft Extensions AI, Azure AI Foundry and agentic frameworks

• Develop and maintain REST microservices hosted on Azure Container Apps

• Implement function calling, tool orchestration and prompt engineering for production LLM-based systems

• Integrate agents with external APIs, internal services and enterprise data sources

• Work with A2A (Agent-to-Agent) protocol for multi-agent orchestration patterns

• Collaborate on developer standards and processes supporting AI-assisted development — including GitHub Copilot custom instructions, prompt engineering practices and AI integration across the development lifecycle

• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions and incident retrospectives

What we're looking for:

Must have:

• 5+ years of professional experience in .NET / C# development

• Strong knowledge of REST API design and microservices architecture

• Experience with Azure (Container Apps, Azure OpenAI, Managed Identity, RBAC)

• Familiarity with LLM concepts: prompt engineering, function calling, tool use, system prompts

• Experience with AI/agentic frameworks such as Semantic Kernel or LangChain

• Database: MongoDB

Nice to have:

• Python — for scripting, tooling or LangChain-based prototyping

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Extensions AI (IChatClient abstraction)

• Knowledge of Azure AI Foundry or Microsoft Agent Framework (MAF)

• Familiarity with Prompty (.prompty prompt-as-code standard)

• Experience with OpenTelemetry for AI observability

• Knowledge of A2A or MCP protocols for multi-agent systems

• Azure certifications (AZ-204, AI-102)
