What You Will Do:
Lead regional engagement efforts with key leaders, interested parties, Tribal communities, and local governments. Own relationships to support business goals and project objectives. Work cooperatively with internal partners.
Partner closely with internal teams (Public Affairs, Communications and Sustainability (PACS), Operations, Projects, Legal, Environment, and Government Relations) to develop effective engagement strategies that reduce risk and create value.
Develop and execute engagement plans, messaging, and budgets that balance business objectives with stakeholder interests and regulatory requirements.
Provide expert advice on cultural awareness, consultation approaches, issue management, negotiations, and risk and opportunity assessments.
Support major projects and expansions by contributing regional insight to project teams and Business Development activities.
Work with Public Awareness team to help maximize effectiveness of Public Awareness Program and promote damage prevention.
Assist with drafting and development of Agreements, Letters of Intent, contracts, etc., that support key stakeholder and community relationship building opportunities.
Represent Enbridge with industry associations, community forums, and regional allies to advance company interests.
Participate in crisis communications and emergency response activities, including serving as an on-call Public Information Officer when required.
Who You Are
University degree with 6+ years of directly related work experience in stakeholder engagement, preferably in the resources sector, particularly in the energy industry / energy transportation infrastructure sector.
Knowledgeable about permitting, regulatory requirements, and community dynamics related to gas transmission and/or liquids pipelines.
Experienced working within a large, multi-jurisdictional organization and navigating complex internal and external environments.
Skilled in cross-cultural and Tribal engagement, with strong interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship-building capabilities.
An effective communicator with strong written, verbal, presentation, and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Highly organized and adaptable, able to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
A trusted advisor with sound judgment, discretion, and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
Demonstrated ability to actively listen, distill key issues, provide sound advice, and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Strong analytical capability to assess complex situations, identify critical issues, and develop clear, effective messaging.
Proven research skills with the ability to synthesize information from diverse sources.
Working Conditions:
Both Office and Field-based asset environments, with a decentralized operating model.
Requires frequent travel and participation in after-hours stakeholder and community events.
Involves regular external-facing engagement.
Accesses and manages highly confidential and strategic information with discretion.
Physical Requirements:
Include but are not limited to: Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.

Include but are not limited to: Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
