Overview of the role:

The Senior Advisor, Compensation and Benefits supports the design, administration, and continuous improvement of compensation and benefits programs. This role ensures that pay practices, incentive programs, and benefits offerings are competitive, compliant, cost-effective, and aligned with business and operational objectives.

The Senior Advisor works closely with Human Resources and Operations to support both salaried and hourly employee populations.

How you will make contributions that matter:

  • Conduct job evaluations and participate in salary recommendations.

  • Participate in compensation and benefits surveys, pay equity initiatives, and market benchmarking of policies and practices to ensure external competitiveness and internal equity.

  • Administer recurring compensation processes, including annual salary reviews, hourly wage progression, preparation of total rewards statements, and variable incentive pay programs.

  • Assist with the annual group insurance renewal and open enrollment processes, including employee communications.

  • Support the administration of employee benefits programs and policies (health, retirement and leaves) including revision of programs, guidelines and training materials.

  • Participate in ongoing total rewards communication initiatives.

  • Respond to employee and HR inquiries related to compensation and benefits and act as a subject-matter expert for HR partners

  • Maintain data integrity in the HRIS system, manage analytics and support audits as required.

  • Participate in or lead special total rewards projects as required.

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Actuarial Mathematics or equivalent;

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role;

  • Bilingual, French & English (spoken and written);

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel; strong proficiency in other Microsoft Office tools. 

  • Experience with HRIS systems, preferably Workday. 

  • Knowledge of compensation, group insurance and pension plans;

  • Strong organizational skills, accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities. 

  • Excellent communication and customer‑service skills. 

  • Available to travel on an ad-hoc basis

As part of their duties, the position holder will be required to communicate and collaborate in English and French, both orally and in writing, with colleagues or other stakeholders located in Québec, elsewhere in Canada, or across North America.”

Salary: 80,130$ to 105,170$

*Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience, education, skills, and training.
