How You'll Create Possibilities

New Equipment & Process Qualification

  • Own qualification and launch readiness for all new manufacturing equipment supporting the Home Laundry product line.

  • Develop and execute robust equipment qualification plans in collaboration with AME and equipment suppliers.

  • Travel to supplier and manufacturing sites to support planning meetings, equipment runoffs, and major production runs; present qualification results to senior leadership for approval prior to shipment.

  • Lead dimensional analysis reviews and align cross-functional teams on corrective actions and next steps.

  • Execute drive/strip/torque studies to validate capable joint designs.

Gaging, Measurement & Metrology

  • Lead gage development for all production gages, following GE Appliances’ gage specification and buy-off process.

  • Facilitate gage kickoff meetings with AMEs, Plant Quality, and Design Engineering.

  • Perform independent measurement activities as needed (CMM, scanning, calipers), leveraging metrology resources where available.

  • Interpret and apply MBD/GD&T and linear dimension drawings to ensure quality plans meet design intent.

NPI & PPAP Ownership

  • Own PPAP activities for newly introduced in-house manufactured parts, assemblies, and processes.

  • Lead qualification of in-house equipment and processes with minimal direction.

  • Ensure all quality documentation and launch criteria are met prior to production release.

Risk Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead cross-functional PFMEAs to identify and mitigate risks associated with new parts and processes.

  • Drive Cost of Quality (COQ) improvements across scrap, yield, concessions, damage, and service.

  • Develop traceability solutions from raw material through finished product, incorporating digital footprints and poka-yoke solutions where possible.

  • Apply GE Appliances’ 9-step quality integration process and actively participate in drawing reviews.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Handoff

  • Serve as the quality lead for turnkey launches, ensuring the factory is prepared to take full ownership post-launch.

  • Balance communication between Product Design and Manufacturing to minimize surprises and support world-class manufacturing outcomes.

  • Partner with Plant Quality and Operations to develop standard work, job instructions, and QMS documentation (MCPs, FRMs, MCIs) that meet or exceed ISO requirements.

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship across engineering, quality, and operations teams.

CIB Site C-Change Support

  • Apply the same NPI quality leadership and execution responsibilities to C-Change and PCTO initiatives at the CIB site.
