  • Research and analyze financial information to support budget preparation, meetings, and planning for HHS (Health Human Services) Core Services

  • Serve as the primary resource for entering operating budgets for Health and Human Services Core Service units

  • Prepare, monitor, and maintain State Grant Funding programs to ensure compliance with Chapter 388, Florida Statutes for Mosquito Control

  • Assist in developing financial strategies and educate staff on cost-reduction initiatives and policy interpretation

  • Analyze, allocate, monitor, and approve expenditures in compliance with internal and external guidelines across multiple financial systems

  • Perform month-end reconciliations and review revenue and expense reports for HHS Core Service units

  • Originate eGenda items for Board of County Commissioners review, ensuring required documentation and policy compliance

  • Coordinate with the Office of Financial Planning on Capital Asset inventory audits and compliance

  • Act as Financial Agent for chemical and pesticide purchases and collaborate with Procurement throughout contract and bid processes

  • Manage purchasing activities, including purchase requests, POs, invoice approvals, Purchase Card oversight, and maintenance of records for audit compliance

Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

About You

Minimum Qualifications:

  • An Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university in related field AND four (4) years of experience in administrative experience with some executive exposure
  • -OR- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in or related field AND two (2) years of experience in administrative experience with some executive exposure
  • -OR- Six (6) years of experience in administrative, secretarial, or communications experience with some executive exposure and managers discretion

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of public sector contracting; establishing contracts, utilizing, and monitoring contracts for compliance
  • Knowledge of GovMax, eGenda, OnBase, Acrobat, Smartsheet, Excel, Word, Outlook

Starting Pay Range: $23.56 - $25.00/ hour, based on experience.
