Description:

As our Road & Bridge Senior Administrative Coordinator you will be responsible for high-level administrative support functions which may include accounting, payroll, purchasing, and administrative assistance in budget preparation. You will be performing special projects from an administrative, technical, or confidential nature and will collaborate with other divisions, departments, and most importantly our community.

Please note this position's day and hours are flexible and can be hybrid.

COMPENSATION:

Hiring Range: $32.54 – $39.05 USD Hourly 

Compensation will be determined based on education, experience, and skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Provide direct service delivery using a person-centered and harm reduction approach to Perform a wide variety of high-level administrative duties, researching, compiling, planning, creating, and maintaining reports and correspondence in varied formats.
  • Schedule meetings and handle arrangements associated with meetings as well as prepares meeting minutes.
  • Manage and maintain files and proper record-keeping with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Serve as a backup to Business Support Supervisor as well as Customer Service Reps, when needed.
  • Assist with the recruitment and onboarding process using standard recruiting and hiring practices and procedures.
  • Partner with management to communicate policies, procedures, programs, and laws. Assist supervisors with preparing disciplinary actions with a high degree of confidentiality and accuracy, ensuring timely processing.
  • Serve as Payroll Support person for the division.
  • Serve as a Procurement Card Holder, place orders, process, and reconcile P-Card transactions. Purchase and maintain inventory levels of supplies and materials.
  • Assist with implementing effective training and development initiatives.
  • Answer phones, address questions, and direct inquiries to the proper contact. Serves as a backup to respond to citizen requests and concerns.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience: Three (3) years of experience in office management, administrative support, project management, or similar field.
  • Certifications/Licenses: None
  • Note an equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable. 

Please note that preferential consideration for interviews will be given to those candidates that have at least five (5) years of experience and currently reside in the state of Colorado.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience in public works or similar field
  • Associate degree in Business Administration, Communication or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • Experience utilizing SharePoint, Cartegraph, Workday, and QAlert
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work with people at all levels.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, displays proactivity, and takes initiative.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent responsive customer service focus and great team player.

ADDITIONAL JOB INFORMATION:

  • Offer of employment contingent upon successful completion of criminal history, motor vehicle report, education verification, and/or references.
  • Must have a valid driver's license; if you are from out of state, you must have a valid Colorado driver's license within 30 days of hire date, and you must not have any major violations or DUI, DWI, DWAI convictions.
