Job Description

The Senior Administrative Assistant position will be a key member of the Seligman Investments New York team. Seligman Investments are part of Columbia Threadneedle Investments.

Reporting directly to the Head of Marketing & Investor Relations for Seligman Investments, this is a unique opportunity to join a growing organization with an entrepreneurial spirit integrated into a highly established and reputable investment firm/platform.

This is a new role due to business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Calendar/meetings/calls for senior members of the Seligman NYC team (e.g. Head of Marketing & Investor Relations).
  • Organize/prioritize incoming requests to ensure calendars are utilized efficiently.
  • Plan and execute meetings both internal and external.
  • Receive incoming investors for in person in office meetings.
  • Travel and Expense Management – arrange travel and process expenses.
  • Manage email Distributions for prospective and Existing LP’s across hedge funds.
  • Leverage CRM software for meeting notes and pipelines.


Qualifications:

  • 3-7 years of executive administrative assistant experience.
  • Prior experience working at a Financial Services firm.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office – Outlook/Teams/PowerPoint/Excel/Word).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules.
  • Generally proactive, resourceful and solution-oriented mindset.

Preferred:

  • Experience gained within a hedge fund, private equity firm, or comparable alternative investment environment.
  • Experience using a CRM system.

In-Office Collaboration:

Our employees work in the office at least four (4) days per week, with flexibility to work from home one (1) day per week. Some roles may require additional in-office time or different in-office expectations, and specific requirements will be discussed during the hiring process.

Base Pay Salary

The estimated base salary for this role is $80,000 - $90,000 per year. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role.
