GEICO is seeking a Senior Specialist, Acquisition Marketing. This individual will be an integral part of accelerating GEICO’s direct mail practice and driving meaning growth through multi-channel strategies.

We’re looking for an experienced Specialist to join our Product & Customer Marketing group and help drive modern, consumer-centric strategies in our direct mail, email and SMS channels. The individual will be primarily responsible for developing and executing direct mail strategies to acquire new customers across multiple lines of business. This role will manage all aspects of strategy and execution, ensuring alignment with business stakeholders and other direct to consumer channels. The ideal candidate will be data-driven, detail-oriented and creative. This is a highly collaborative and hands-on-role.

This role reports into the Sr. Director, Acquisition Marketing. Our department’s hybrid model is 3 days in the office per week, with flexibility. Corporate offices are in Bethesda, MD; Manhattan, NY; Preference given to Bethesda, MD.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Fully own and execute direct mail strategy, planning and execution. Manage a high volume of campaigns and tests across multiple lines of business and stakeholders
  • Consult and collaborate with cross-functional teams, colleagues, and leadership to design effective programs strategies and that advance acquisition goals.
  • Manage all project assets to include presentations, briefs, test design, audience design, journey documentation, creative assets, content matrices and measurement reports.
  • Utilize customer data and segmentation to personalize messaging and increase relevance. Rigorously test direct mail attributes; from content and format to lists, offers, and segmentation
  • Move all creative assets and deliverables through legal and internal reviews, consolidating feedback and next steps for action. Maintain comprehensive records of final creative, offers and targeting criteria to support audit readiness – critical in regulated industry like insurance
  • Manage and hold accountable direct mail agency partners and serve as primary point on mail planning and activation.
  • Partner across the lines of business and other channel owners to ensure an integrated customer acquisition experience, creating cross-channel strategies with email.
  • Oversee budget process and reporting for dedicated lines of business.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and technologies to implement best practices in print production.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications or related field.
  • 8+ years of proven experience in CRM and direct response marketing. Preferably in insurance industry or with direct response agency.
  • Proven expertise and understanding of direct mail.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to conceptualize tests and analyze campaign performance to inform future strategies.
  • Experience managing external vendors/agencies.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and project management tools such as Wrike and Azure DevOps 
  • Proficiency in using analytics tools like Google Analytics or Power BI

Annual Salary

$109,675.00 - $172,200.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
