Our focus is on enabling connected services for people outdoors and connected workflows across three main verticals: mass-market consumer devices, automotive, and industrial IoT.

This role is Remote for India office.

Summary Of How You Will Impact Skylo

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Accounting Manager to join our growing accounting team to help fulfill Skylo’s mission of making satellite connectivity available to all. Our team builds scalable processes to support Skylo’s financial reporting and compliance needs. You will be a critical leader for the Controllership team, overseeing the accounting and financial operations for all global entities and ensuring seamless coordination across international teams and external partners.

What You'll Achieve

  • Manage Global Close Process: Lead and execute the end-to-end month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close for all global entities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting under US GAAP.
  • Ensure International Compliance: Serve as the main contact between the US accounting team and international local accounting/tax firms (including India), overseeing statutory compliance and local reporting.
  • Oversee AP and AR: Manage all Accounts Payable (AP) functions (vendor onboarding, invoice/payment processing) and the entire Order-to-Cash cycle, including customer invoicing, Accounts Receivable (AR) management, collections, and aging review.
  • Review and Approve Transactions: Review and approve complex month-end tasks, journal entries (JEs), and general ledger account reconciliations (e.g., cash, fixed assets, accruals, intercompany).
  • Deliver Financial Reporting: Prepare consolidated financial statements, complete monthly variance analysis (flux), and develop the monthly management reporting package for all entities.
  • Drive Process Improvement and Controls: Continuously document and improve processes, designing and implementing scalable corporate accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls in compliance with US GAAP.
  • Lead Automation: Identify and support automation initiatives for accounting processes to increase efficiency and support business growth.
  • Support Audits and Projects: Assist with the financial audit process by preparing and providing requested information, and manage ad-hoc projects from Finance leadership.

What We Look For

  • Degree in Accounting (CPA or CA, or equivalent professional certification highly preferred).
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a multinational technology company, with significant experience managing multi-entity financials.
  • A strong knowledge of US GAAP; conceptual and practical experience in researching, understanding, and communicating technical accounting issues and recommendations.
  • Experience with international statutory compliance.
  • Experience with technology, use of AI, and building automation into Accounting.
  • Experience using NetSuite, Bill.com, Expensify, FloQast, or similar accounting software.
  • A self-starter who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and proactively drive business results.
  • Strong attention to detail, communication, and high degree of analytical and problem-solving skills.
