The Senior Accounting Manager oversees accounting operations for multiple restaurant groups and leads a team responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting. This role ensures consistent adherence to industry specific accounting standards, manages client relationships at the leadership level, and drives operational efficiency across all outsourced accounting processes.
The Senior Accounting Manager serves as the primary escalation point for both clients and internal teams, providing guidance on complex transactions, system issues, and policy interpretation while maintaining a high standard of service delivery.

Your impact:
Client Leadership and Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary accounting lead for assigned restaurant groups, ensuring all monthly deliverables and operating requirements are met.
- Participate in client meetings to present financials, explain variances, and address operational questions.
- Provide proactive guidance to clients on best practices, controls, and process improvements.
- Manage expectations around timelines, deliverables, and scope.
Financial Management and Oversight
- Oversee all components of the restaurant close cycle, including AP, AR, bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, payroll accounting, inventory, COGS, accrual schedules, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Review and approve monthly financial statements, journal entries, and reconciliations for completeness and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, GAAP standards, and restaurant specific requirements such as cash controls, 3PD reconciliation, daily sales summaries, and R365 system workflows.
- Identify irregularities or risks and provide decisive action plans.
Team Leadership and Development
- Supervise, mentor, and develop offshore team that supports client accounting.
- Provide performance feedback, set expectations, and ensure accountability for quality and timeliness.
- Collaborate with offshore team leads to align responsibilities and maintain consistent service levels.
Operational Excellence
- Drive efficiency across all accounting processes, ensuring standard operating procedures are followed consistently.
- Support the creation, improvement, and enforcement of SOPs for month end close, daily workflows, bank activity reporting, and special processes unique to restaurant concepts.
- Partner with internal operations leadership to resolve bottlenecks, improve task flows, and enhance visibility for both teams and clients.

About you:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA preferred but not required.
- Five or more years of progressive accounting experience, with at least two years in a supervisory or management role.
- 3+ years’ experience in restaurant accounting.
- Strong knowledge of restaurant accounting operations, including cash management, sales audits, tip handling, payroll allocations, inventory, and 3PD revenue reconciliation.
- Experience with R365 strongly preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and client management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple clients, deadlines, and teams in a fast-paced outsourced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Comfortable managing both structured routines and evolving client needs.
- Confident in presenting financial results and advising non accounting stakeholders.
