What you will do

As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will take ownership of accounting activities for the Polish commercial entity and act as a trusted financial partner to local and regional stakeholders.

  • Lead accounting activities, including preparation, maintenance, and reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
  • Prepare, analyze, and report accounting transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP and local policies.
  • Oversee the Accounting & Reporting process across ERP and Hyperion systems.
  • Review journal entries and reports prepared by GL accountants to ensure high‑quality output.
  • Maintain strong internal controls (SOX) and support audit processes (internal and external).
  • Prepare statutory financial statements in accordance with Polish requirements and support tax compliance (VAT, statistical filings).
  • Drive and implement process improvements, standardization initiatives, and cross‑departmental collaboration (Cash, Intercompany, AP).
  • Provide leadership and team support, including coaching team members, coordinating escalations, and supporting hiring activities.

What you need

  • Bachelor’s / HBO degree in Accounting or equivalent certification.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in an accounting or finance role.
  • Fluency in Polish and English, both spoken and written.
  • Strong Excel skills and proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Shared Service Center experience (preferred but not required).
  • Knowledge of SOX, internal control frameworks, and ideally familiarity with US GAAP.

Salary information will be provided during the recruitment process.

Travel Percentage: 10%
