Position Overview:
As the Senior Accountant for PG&A, (Parts, Garments & Accessories) you will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial results that support Polaris’ PG&A business. You will oversee key accounting activities including reserves, revenue recognition, inventory, cost accounting, and financial reporting. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to strengthen processes, maintain compliance, and deliver meaningful insights. This role offers the opportunity to influence financial operations at scale while deepening your technical expertise and ownership of critical accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and completeness and accuracy tests for month-end close activities.
Maintain and document processes and procedures to support Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
Design and enhance internal controls and accounting processes as business needs evolve.
Deliver timely daily and monthly reporting, including revenue, PPV reporting, and inventory health analysis with insights on clearance, obsolescence, and reserves.
Coordinate documentation and review of financial processes to identify and implement improvements.
Partner with purchasing and category teams to support item cost management.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify issues, recommend solutions, and support operational decision-making.
Develop and maintain reporting tools and data solutions that provide controlled, user-friendly information to business partners.
Drive continuous improvement and quality across all areas of responsibility.
Perform additional projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or similar required.
CPA certification is a plus.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience. Public accounting and/or manufacturing industry preferred.
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 compliance.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and within a team environment.
Effective verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
Experience with Microsoft tools; PowerBI and Alteryx exposure preferred.
Experience with SAP or OneStream is a plus.
Some travel may be required.

The starting pay range for Minnesota is $80,000 to $111,000 per year. Individual salaries and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. While individual pay could fall anywhere in the range based on these factors, it is not common to start at the high end or top of the range.
