This is an opportunity to join a growing business where finance plays a hands-on, trusted role across the organisation.

You’ll be part of a small close-knit finance team with the autonomy to own your remit and the support to grow your commercial impact.

This role suits somebody who enjoys variety and interaction with stakeholders across the business, not just technical reporting work.

You will report to the Financial Controller, and you’ll take ownership of core financial accounting activities while working closely with operations, sales and customer service. The environment is fast paced with high quality processes.

What You’ll Do

In this role you will:

  • Take ownership over month end, statutory reporting across the group.
  • Lead the end-to-end monthly accounting and close process, ensuring timely financial results.
  • Ensure compliance with AASB reporting requirements.
  • Partner with operational and commercial team to better understand business drivers and decision making.
  • Manage compliance and external reporting requirements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvement across systems, processes and reporting.

What You’ll Bring

The ideal candidate:

  • CA or CPA qualification with a minimum of five years’ post-qualification experience in senior accounting roles - must have
  • Comfortable working in a product, inventory or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong experience in month-end close, balance sheet management, and financial reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience working in large, complex organisations.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience working with MYOB, highly desirable.
  • High level of attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proactive and solutions-focused, with ability to manage priorities and deadlines with professional integrity.
  • Strong ability to communication with non-finance teams.
  • You are a can-do, positive person with a growth mindset and love having the freedom to make decisions
