A growing agriculture company is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to support and strengthen its corporate accounting operations. This role is heavily focused on the general ledger and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of financial information. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting expertise, a detail-oriented mindset, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Oversee the Accounts Payable (AP) function, ensuring timely processing, accuracy, and adherence to internal controls
Manage and review Accounts Receivable (AR) reporting, including aging analysis and collections insights
Maintain and oversee the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis
Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met and financials are accurate
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow
Support corporate-level GL activities with a focus on accuracy, completeness, and compliance
Develop and deliver ad hoc financial reports and analyses to support business decisions
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
Assist with audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to auditor inquiries
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices within accounting operations
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, finance, and leadership teams
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
At least 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Demonstrated experience with general ledger management and month-end close processes
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly
