About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Senior Staff Accountant with 2-3 years of accounting experience and a strong interest in cryptocurrencies to join our dynamic finance team. This role combines traditional accounting responsibilities with hands-on operational support for our cryptocurrency activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn the nuances of digital assets, and excited to contribute to both month-end close processes and crypto-related operations in a fast-evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform month-end close activities, including preparing and posting journal entries, accruals.
  • Process accounts payable invoices: review for accuracy, match to purchase orders obtain approvals, and enter into the accounting system for timely payment
  • Prepare and maintain balance sheet account reconciliations (prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and other general ledger accounts)
  • Assist with cryptocurrency operational tasks, such as:
    • Tracking and recording digital asset transactions across wallets and exchanges.
    • Performing reconciliations of crypto holdings and on-chain activities to general ledger records.
    • Supporting valuation of cryptocurrency assets at period-end.
  • Collaborate with operations and treasury teams to ensure proper recording of crypto inflows/outflows
  • Support audit requests by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation
  • Participate in process improvements, including automation opportunities for both traditional and crypto accounting workflows
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience (public accounting, corporate accounting, or internship experience considered)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis functions); experience with Google Sheets.
  • Familiarity with accounting software/ERP systems (Netsuite, Intacct, Quickbooks, or similar); crypto accounting tools (e.g., Fireblocks, TRES, or blockchain explorers) is a strong advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in high-volume transaction environments
  • Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP principles
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with a proactive mindset and eagerness to learn in the rapidly changing crypto space

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to digital asset transactions, wallet management, or crypto tax considerations.
  • Demonstrated interest and working knowledge of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology (personal involvement, coursework, certifications, or professional exposure preferred)
