Why we're hiring:
The Senior Accountant plays a key role within the HQ Controllership team, with primary responsibility for the financial management and reporting of the Group’s HQ entities, including the review and management of HQ submissions to ensure accurate and timely reporting. The role has a strong focus on the Group’s principal financing companies, which hold a diverse portfolio of financial instruments including foreign currency loans, bonds, swaps, commercial paper, forward contracts, multiple foreign currency bank accounts, and the Group’s UK zero-balancing cash pool arrangements
What you'll be doing:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Prepare monthly management accounts and ensure SOX compliance for the Group’s primary financing company and other financing and bond entities.
· Monitor UK zero-balancing cash pool (ZBA) arrangements, manage the ZBA inbox, and liaise with SSC Treasury to resolve queries, including distribution list updates and IT2 reporting issues.
· Review and manage HQ BFC submissions to ensure complete, accurate and timely reporting plus coordinating and responding to other corporate requests eg Starlight analytical tool.
· Prepare and deliver monthly HQ debt reporting, support FX sweeping activities and review the relevant BFC accounts.
· Support monthly intercompany reporting by investigating, resolving, and documenting mismatches to adhere to worldwide controls.
· Review and maintain the intercompany loan matrix to ensure accuracy, completeness, and appropriate documentation, plus managing intercompany payments for timely settlement of balances.
· Liaise with Tax, Legal, Treasury and Group Reporting teams regarding monthly transactions and related matters.
· Assist in the preparation and review of statutory accounts and external filing requirements including tax computations.
· Coordinate with internal and external auditors to support annual statutory and SOX audits, including responding to audit queries.
· Support Group Reporting with external reporting and disclosure requirements.
· Contribute to cross-departmental projects focused on process improvement, systems automation, and operational efficiency across HQ entities.
· Provide support to HQ Controllership and Group Reporting teams as required.
