Your New Role…
The role is critical in ensuring that the Company's content assets are accurately accounted for, helping the company make informed financial decisions and maintain compliance with regulations.

The Senior Accountant for LATAM Streaming Content is responsible for maintaining and accounting for WBD's HBO and HBO Max content assets and amortization expense in Latin America. Responsibilities include content life cycle journal entries, present valuing long term payables, reconciling balance sheet accounts, preparing input schedules for US Federal Filings (Form 10-Q and Form 10-K). This individual ensures that these assets and their associated expenses and liabilities are properly recorded and reported in the Company’s financial statements. This role will ensure all deliverables are completed timely, and accurately. Your Role Accountabilities


Your Role Accountabilities…

  • Prepare accruals and other manual journal entries and related supporting documents, which include evidence of controls performed in SAP.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts. Ensure appropriate supporting documentation is maintained and any reconciling items are resolved timely.
  • Participate in the preparation of ad hoc reporting in response to information request for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Be an expert business partner with Tax, Finance, Financial Compliance, Internal Audit, and other teams within the Controllership organization.
  • Analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
     

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of accounting/audit experience
  • Fluent in English
  • Experience preparing and reviewing general ledger account reconciliations
  • Experience with monthly and quarterly financial reporting and variance analysis
  • Strong understanding of General Ledger and Subledger Accounting
  • Experience or baseline knowledge of US GAAP
     

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree and/or CPA
  • Previous knowledge and experience with ERP Systems (SAP S/4 HANA) and Blackline for Account Reconciliations
  • Experience working with complex intercompany transactions
