A bit about this role  

As a key contributor to Devoted Health's overall accounting team, the Senior Accountant will play an important role contributing to the Controller's organization and advancing the company’s monthly accounting close operations as a subject matter expert in cash, in a fully remote capacity. Primary responsibilities include all aspects of oversight and handling of cash activities, daily transactions, audits, and financial reporting and analysis for cash activities, leveraging AI to enhance department efficiency. This role will also be an integral to ensuring the integrity, accuracy, consistency and transparency of accounting and financial reporting for our overall accounting function, including performing reviews of work completed by offsite partners.

Your Responsibilities and Impact will include:

  • Ensuring the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating and/or entering treasury transactions in the general ledger

  • Overseeing month-end close and treasury functions, leveraging fluctuation analysis to identify and document financial variances, while ensuring all bank reconciliations and daily cash activities meet internal control standards.

  • Maintain a deep “hands-on” knowledge of all cash-related accounting tasks to effectively troubleshoot and guide offshore partners.

  • Partner on cross-functional accounting projects and support other accounting activities.

  • Coordinate and respond to auditor testing while supporting the maturation of internal controls.

  • Actively participate in the organization-wide initiative to incorporate AI into daily accounting processes and ad-hoc projects.
     

Required skills and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or other business field

  • 4+ years of experience in accounting, experience with cash and treasury activities a plus.

  • Experience working with offshore partners

  • Knowledge of GAAP, SEC regulations and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills

  • Experience with or an openness to leveraging AI tools and a clear understanding of how AI can be used to improve accounting accuracy and speed.

Desired skills and experience:

  • CPA preferred

  • Big 4 accounting, or Medicare Advantage experience preferred

  • NetSuite, Floqast, Kyriba and/or AI-driven accounting software experience a plus

  • Experience in Sarbanes-Oxley control execution/documentation

​Salary range:
$80,000-$100,000 / year

The pay range listed for this position is the range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at the time of the posting. Once the interview process begins, your talent partner will provide additional information on the compensation for the role, along with additional information on our total rewards package. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
