As an experienced banking accountant, you will play a key role within Financial Accounting, covering accounting activities for Lending, Banking Operations (including Client Corporate Actions), and Cash Desk. Acting as a trusted subject-matter expert, you will manage daily accounting tasks and actively drive the continuous improvement of accounting processes and systems.Advice, development and monitoring of sub-ledgers within the relevant business areas
Actively participate in projects aimed at optimising and automating accounting processes, including the definition of booking logics and data flows
Collaborate in the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports in accordance with IFRS and Swiss Banking GAAP (RVI)
Provide expert support related to internal and external audits, and for reconciliations between finance systems and core banking platforms
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across departments such as Group Tax, Management Accounting, IT Operations, and Payroll
Participate in the testing, implementation, and rollout of new functionalities in SAP and core banking systems
Support in ensuring data quality and further developing internal controls. Analysis, specification, and optimisation of existing processes
Provide training to employees and prepare user documentation (primarily in English)
Support the individual locations worldwide from a financial accounting perspective
Ensuring consistent adherence to internal control systems
Completed financial or business administration education with further training in accounting (e.g. specialist certificate in finance and accounting, Bachelor/Master in Accounting or Banking & Finance)
Several years of professional experience in bank accounting, preferably in the areas of lending, banking operations or corporate actions
Experience with T24 or comparable core banking systems mandatory
Sound knowledge of banking products, particularly in lending
Good understanding of IFRS and Swiss Banking GAAP (RVI) is an advantage
Project experience with SAP and use of SAP is an advantage
Sound handling of MS Office programmes
Very good English language skills, both written and spoken. Fluency in German is an advantage
Strong analytical skills as well as independent and meticulous work approach
Team-oriented personality with strong communication skills and resilience
