The Role and What You’ll Do:
160over90 is seeking a Senior Account Manager who will be responsible for the strategy and day-to-day activation of global Motorsport partnerships within a key client account.
Day-to-day management of a client's sponsorship portfolio and activation around it with a focus on Formula 1, and other motorsport properties
Interact daily with client and all appropriate agencies/properties to support sponsorship programming initiatives
Lead on, and execute fully, the planning around Partnerships management and the delivery of all related Rights & Benefits to maximise the client’s investment in the property
Assist in other areas of the account as needed and as directed by the Partnerships Director
Track, manage, update and recap sponsorship deliverables, activations and approvals
Manage approvals processes in partnership with the client and the rightsholder, athletes and rightsholder stakeholders by having an in-depth knowledge of activation guidelines
Responsible for the day-to-day management of a client’s sports sponsorships, including interfacing with clients and brand teams, other account team members, and all appropriate agencies/properties to support sponsorship initiatives.
Liaise with client hub to support in activating their partnerships with clients and partners to ensure all sponsorship rights are fully utilised and leveraged to drive client business results
Support the sell-in of the partnerships to the wider businesses of the client
Assist with the creation and implementation of materials to support sponsorship initiatives and client strategy, including preparing marketing activation presentations, guideline documents and materials to be presented to the client, their partners and relevant stakeholders
Manage finance topics such as processing talent invoices, client POs, vendor forms and the like
Assist in the strategic development and implementation of sponsorship initiatives, including customized programs/promotions with the client / their partners
Coordinate with internal teams i.e. experiential, social, or regional sponsorship leads to ensure the client’s brand and sports properties are accurately represented, and managing projects related to sports
Interact with and provide day-to-day communication to client, vendors, agencies, agents as needed.
Provide and incorporate general insight and industry best practices
You Have These:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
Substantive agency or client-based sponsorship account management experience in the sports and entertainment industries (specific disciplines could include, sponsorship marketing or event marketing)
Deep understanding of, and a strong contact network within, the business of sport and specifically Formula 1/motorsport
Experience managing and developing the relationship between client and rights-holder to ensure a harmonious and efficient delivery of the partnership
Experience managing the flow and delivery of VIP guest programmes
Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously
Superior client relationship skills
Ability to work and manage multiple stakeholders
Managed the development and implementation of sponsorship marketing strategy and activation on behalf of client or company
Prior experience managing day-to-day relationships with client, agency(s) and vendors
Prior experience managing activation budgets on behalf of clients
Participation in sponsorship contract negotiations
Practical experience with on-site event marketing operations and logistics
Ability to think strategically and creatively
Ability to problem-solve independently and in groups
Excellent time management, written and oral communication skills
Ability to travel globally, sometimes at short notice
Experience of line-managing and mentoring junior staff
Proficient in MS Office Suite, especially Powerpoint and Excel
